What waiting costs
Sand goes first. Then the pavers.
Sun, salt air, sand, storms and irrigation all work on the same surface at once. The color flattens, the joints empty out, and weeds find the gaps. Most people notice the fading and think it is only a looks problem.
It is not. Joint sand is structural. Once it drops below the paver surface the field loosens, and loose pavers start to rock, creep and chip at the edges. At that point sealing will not fix it. The section has to be lifted, re-bedded and reset, and that costs several times what sealing it a year earlier would have.
Caught in time, you get the opposite: a driveway that reads like it was laid last month, cleans off with a hose, and holds that way for years instead of months.
And if your pavers do not need sealing yet, we would rather tell you that than sell you a job.

We measure the field, count the joints and tell you what the surface actually needs. If sealing is the wrong call, we say so.

Clean & sand
Surface clean, then hand detail the edges and stains. Polymeric sand gets swept and set into every joint.

Seal
Two coats, wet-look or matte, applied once the pavers read dry all the way through. Damp pavers are how sealer goes cloudy.

Common questions
What does paver sealing actually do?
It puts a protective layer over the paver and hardens the sand in the joints. That does three things: it holds the color instead of letting UV bleach it out, it stops joint sand washing away every time it rains, and it makes the surface far easier to clean because dirt sits on top rather than soaking in.
Do pavers have to be cleaned before sealing?
Yes, every time. Sealer is transparent and permanent. Whatever is on the paver when the sealer goes down stays visible underneath it. Dirt, mildew, weeds and loose sand all have to come off first, or you are sealing the problem in.
How often should pavers be sealed in Florida?
Most Florida surfaces come due every few years, but the honest answer is that it depends on the surface rather than the calendar. Full-sun driveways go sooner than shaded patios. Pool decks go sooner than walkways. If water no longer beads on the surface and the joints are dropping, it is time.
Do you seal pool deck pavers?
Yes, and it is one of our most common jobs. Pool decks need a finish chosen for bare wet feet rather than a default high-gloss, which is the difference between a deck that looks good and a deck that is genuinely unsafe when wet.
